1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 For Sale
Description 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210
This is an original 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.
2 door sedan with the original 261 cu in 6 cylinder engine and Power Glide transmission. 73000 miles.
That engine-transmission combination is rare. It has power-assisted steering and brakes, radio (tube style) still works. There are small spots of rust as shown in the pictures, but this is no "rust bucket". The lady who bought it in 1957 and sold it to me kept it in her garage. When I took possession, it has also been in a garage. I have replaced the starter, muffler and two years ago replaced the points, condenser, distributor cap and rotor. About ten years ago, my Dad drove it from Kansas to Oregon; prior to that trip he had the radiator rodded out and resoldered. In Oregon I serviced the fluids and put on a new radiator cap and when I moved back to Colorado, the pressure difference caused the radiator to leak slightly. Prior to a long trip, I'd suggest putting in a new radiator (I found aluminum radiators online for '57 Chevys for around $200.)
From the pictures you can see the driver's side arm rest is broken and a new pair can be found online for around $80. The headliner needs to be replaced and I saw one online for under $200 for DIY.
The car runs good and is in good condition. It's never been wrecked but has some minor scrapes along the side. The original owner scrapped her garage backing out and that's why she decided to sell.
