"The E24 (RHD Model number 5532) was the last of the clasic shark-nosed copes and is a refined luxury GT. The final 6 Series model to be launched was the mighty M635CSi...and hid the 24 valve M88 engine from the M1 benith its bonnet. While it shared its (3.5ltr) displacement with the 635CSi, the M88's race-derived cylinder head, increased compression ratio and raised rev limit all helped boost power to a serious impressive 286bhp with a usefull 25lbs ft of torque. A close ratio five speed manual was the only transmission option. 0 to 62mph in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 158mph making it one of the fastest cars of its day. (BMW Car 09/09 )"This car was judge a a better car than its rival Ferrari of its day. " Sunday Times Motoring 10/06/2001)
